Chief Guest

CQ 13 has the honor of having a distinguished personality from the field of media and communication to preside over our communication seminar.

Our chief guest started his career as a journalist at the young age of 24, achieved numerous awards and accolades and began his long association with The Times of India as an international correspondent. He has also served as the paper's Editor.

In 1978 he joined UNESCO as its Asia-Pacific Information Officer in Bangkok and was promoted as Director of Public Information at its headquarters in Paris.
 


He set up his own multi-media company, Asia-Pacific Communications Associates, in 1994.
He also did a brief stint as Editor of the Gulf Today in Sharjah before returning to the Times Group as Executive Managing Editor.

He has been a member of the National Commission for Minorities and the Chairman of the Group of Interlocutors for Jammu & Kashmir.

A prolific columnist and TV commentator, he has edited and authored several publications, including one on the Italian film director Roberto Rossellini. He is the recipient of the Legion d’honneur, France’s highest civilian award.

Literature is not left far behind with our esteemed guest, he is the author of well acclaimed book 'Under her spell.'
